Scope of Air Tugger Training:
This course is designed to teach personnel to
safely use and
operate an air winch. The air winch is a necessary tool for the offshore worker and could be hazardous if the operator is not properly trained.
Air Tugger Training Course Objective:
At the completion of this course student trainees will have
an understanding of the following topics:
- Describing what an air winch is and why it is used
- Explaining basic safety precautions to take while operating air winches
- Performing special inspections which are necessary to provide safe operations (winch mounts, run rope, and rigging slings)
- Safely rig materials to be lifted
- Safely operate air winch
