Scope of Hydrogen Sulfide Training:
This course is designed to teach personnel how
to protect themselves while working in H2S conditions.
Course Objective:
At the course conclusion, student trainees should be able
to:
- Describes what H2S is and where its sources are found
- Identify several symptoms of H2S exposure and the exposure limits
- Describe physical characteristics
- Understand exposure to different levels measured in p.p.m. (parts per million)
- Understand the signals and actions associated with monitoring systems
- Use respirators and gas detectors in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR standards
